The mission of the Palmetto Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in the City of Palmetto by working cooperatively with the public, enforcing ordinances and laws, preserving the peace, preventing crime and providing a safe environment within our community.

The Police Department consists of twenty sworn officers including the Police Chief, Deputy Chief, detectives and patrol officers.

The sketch to the right is a person of interest in an Invasion and Homicide that occurred in Palmetto in April of 2011.  He is described as a light skinned African American male.  He is about 6'0 to 6'3 inches tall with a medium build.

If you have any information in the case, or if you know the identity of the person of interest, please call the Palmetto Police Department Investigations Division at 770-463-9068, or Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477).

There is a reward of up to $10,000 leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
