The Public Works Department is comprised of three (3) smaller departments that work together to build and maintain Palmetto's infrastructure.

The Street Department is in charge of repairs to roads, keeping the right of ways clear of debris and maintaining our parks.

The Electric Department maintains the power lines and street lights for the city, reads the meters for utility bills and responds to problems that may arise during storms and unplanned outages.

The Water Department is charged with producing drinking water for the city.  They also maintain the water and sewer service lines, as well as inspecting all new water and sewer service connections to the main lines.

Consumer Confidence Reports for water quality can be found in the Archive Center.
